1. Overview

Grok Automation (the "Extension") automates image/video generation tasks on grok.com entirely within your browser. The Extension does not collect, store, sell, or transmit any personal data to any external server. The developer operates no server at all.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored only in your device's local browser storage (chrome.storage) and is inaccessible to the developer or any third party: prompt lists and presets, generation settings, reference images you attach (auto-removed after each job), job history/progress, and a session-scoped unlock flag (cleared when the browser closes). Uninstalling the Extension deletes all of this data.

3. Permissions

• downloads — save generated media to your chosen folder under Downloads
• activeTab / sidePanel — show the side-panel UI and detect whether the current tab is grok.com
• Host permissions for grok.com and x.com — run the automation script on those sites only; no code runs anywhere else

4. Interaction with Grok (grok.com)

The Extension automates UI actions (typing prompts, clicking buttons) inside your already-logged-in browser session. It never collects, stores, or transmits your Grok/X account credentials. Prompts and generated media travel only between your browser and grok.com — exactly as if you used grok.com manually. Data processing on grok.com is governed by xAI's Privacy Policy.

5. What We Do NOT Collect

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, contacts)
• Account credentials, cookies, or session tokens
• Browsing history, usage statistics, or analytics (no tracking/analytics tools are included)
• Location, health, or financial information

6. Third Parties

Since no data is collected, no data is shared with or sold to third parties. The Extension contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking services.
